Musings from a Matchbox

This week we saw how to create and compared the results of more microphone techniques. We created the Blumlein Pair, Phased Array, OCT and Decca Tree. I think that we would be able to better compare these different techniques with a larger room, and possibly multiple sound sources placed around the microphones, to get a true feeling for each technique in different positions.

Having missed the first session of the Music For Digital Media module, as I only just joined it, I can’t say what I thought of it. What I can say, however, is that I look forward to creating music for films and animation as it is something I have always wanted to try. This module will link two or three of my interests into one, and that can only be a good thing!
